Is OddsHype a sportsbook?+
No. We're an information service: odds comparison, fair-price math, alerts, a bet tracker and a handicapper community. We never take bets or hold money. You bet at licensed sportsbooks yourself.
Is it legal where I live?+
Using OddsHype is legal, but betting laws differ by state. Tell us your state and we only ever show sportsbooks licensed there. If your state has no legal online sportsbooks, you can still use the tools and calculators.
What does +EV mean?+
Positive expected value: the price you're getting pays more than the bet's real chance of winning deserves. Any one bet can still lose. The edge shows up over many bets, which is why we track closing line value.
How do you pick the 'fair' odds?+
We take sharp, low-margin markets (Pinnacle, Betfair, Matchbook, regulated exchanges), remove their margin four different ways and use the most conservative answer. A source never prices its own quote.
Can handicappers fake their records?+
No. Picks can only be posted from the live board before kickoff, at a price that's on offer right then. Each one is hash-chained and graded from final scores, and none can be edited or deleted.
Will sportsbooks limit me?+
Books can limit accounts that win or bet arbitrage. That's their right. We show it plainly so you can decide how to use the tools.
How do I cancel?+
